But, if you will try install Silverlight application in Out Of Browser mode (detach it) you will notice that when you click on the install button that calls Application.Current.Install(); you will notice that nothing will happen; no install dialog will be shown. To fix this in Safari on Maveric's you would need to allow Silverlight plugin to run in 'unsecure' mode: Safari/Settings/Security/Internet-Plugins: Allow Plugins -> Organize Website Settings. Select Silverlight on left side, on right side select hostname, pulldown 'Execute in unsecure mode'. The question is, is there something I as developer can change in the Silverlight application to allow it to be installed w/o setting Silverlight to run in unsecure mode.

That's something that experienced user can do, but other users will need instructions on how to do it. Browsers other than safari work like a charm, when you install Silverlight component they install it as they would normally do, in all other versions of Mac OS X and PC. My question is is there something developers can do when developing their applications to allow Silverlight components to be installed as they were before, w/o specifically allowing and going into unsecure mode in safari?

Hi, I' ve bought a Macbook pro not so long a go, it's running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 but the Microsoft Silverlight plugin does not seem to work, I tried everything. Reinstalling, rebooting, installing Flip4mac. Uninstalling everything correctly and installing only the plugin. I tried different browsers; google chrome, firefox, opera, safari nothing worked. The plugin is ofcourse installed correctly, I even tried running the browsers in 32bit mode (which was advised at a different forum).
