The second drive works ok, but after cloneing the master drive C: the new master drive will not boot to windows. Error code for fault in the drive creates a boot loop and nevers starts windows. Not cloned both drives work and can be swap as the second drive in the system.

It seems that it does not recognize my hard drives. When i need to choose the partition to install on, the list is empty and it needs a driver to recognize the RAID controller i think. I didnt think it would matter where I posted. So i take daid the XP disc but then it doesnt recognize any disks. Now in the setup win 7 screen some drivers apear, a big list. I choose 'do not show drivers that are not compatible with thios drives' and one remains. I choose it, select next, it starts loading an then appears 'No new devices could be load. I was unable to find a toshiba site that offered support, so I dont have any other specs than what I got from here: If this is your model, than you do have a SATA controller, which would mean you would need a SATA driver using the F6 install method. Again, I am not sure if I have the right model so I leave it at that now. If you have a web site that offers support for your laptop, please post that too. I downloaded your computers manual and read some relevant sections. It mentions how to install XP to RAID-1 and RAID-0 configurations.
